Christmas all around us

I am so sorry that I have abandoned you ... I feel that not writing is similar to leaving your family without Christmas gifts. But sometimes when you are busy, too busy ...

So what has happened lately:

- Visited London, and fall in love with the so called "tea with milk" I could not imagined drinking anything similar in the past, but it turned out to be sooo delicious.

- Then Christmas season arrived and I returned to my favourite Mulled Cranberry Cider that is mostly available this period of the year.

But today, I wish to share with you the story of something else, that is something more special for me. This pastry is not Italian but Hungarian. A traditional Christmas sweet, that you can eat while you are having breakfast in bed or  you are hungry for a late night snack. Its preparation is special for me, since I am making it  every year with my dear Grandma, who is 90 years old now.

This is our recipe, improved from generation to generation...

and today I will only share one preparation picture with you. But these days I promise I will give you the family recipe. It is called Beigli and this is my Christmas gift to you!

I wish you a Wonderful Holiday Season!
